Hans Åhlfeldt

Hans Åhlfeldt was born in 1955 in Askersund, Sweden. M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Linköping University in 1980, and Ph.D. in Medical Informatics from Linköping University in 1989.

IMT:s prefekt, professor Hans Åhlfeldt, har avlidit efter en tids sjukdom. Hans är djupt saknad av medarbetarna på institutionen och tankarna går till hans familj.

The chairman of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Hans Åhlfeldt, has succumbed to his illness. Hans will be greatly missed by his colleagues. We extend our thoughts and best wishes to his family.

Activities and interests: Director of the undergraduate study programme at the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Research projects within the field of Medical Informatics. Areas of interest are biosignal processing, medical decision support systems, information retrieval and structured medical terminologies. 

Teaching: Medical informatics: medical data, probabilistic medical decision making, medical record systems, structured medical terminologies, information retrieval. 
Biosignal processing techniques within cardiology: electrophysiology, ECG genesis, ECG analysis, forward and inverse problems. 
Intensive care: patient monitoring, information systems within intensive care, integration aspects of medical record systems.
