Course start: May 2011
The course covers basic statistical concepts on experimental data analysis such as
two group comparisons, as well as more advanced hypothesis testing using analysis
of variance or regression analysis. Emphasis is on understanding the assumptions
underlying different statistical tests and choosing appropriate tests or transforming data.
Problem solving with modern statistical packages such as STATISTICA or SPSS involves set of preassigned problems on the concepts above.
The participants should also present their own research hypothesis, the experimental design and the collected data. The participants own data are then solved in groups and presented and discussed in a seminar.
